About Us

Fani Foundation Organization Inc. is a 501 (C) (3) Non-Profit Organization.

Since 2007, Fani Foundation Organization Inc.® has enriched the lives of
people with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting
work.  The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that Fani
Foundation experience has on the entire communities.

Fani Foundation Organization Inc.® was founded in 2007 but incorporated
as a non-profit organization in 2008 after a woman named Fani Violet
Elosiuba-Okeke passed away and left her heartfelt wish to help the nation
unfinished.  Since its humble beginnings, the organization has blossom
into a worldwide phenomenon, reaching many people around the world.

Although it has not become a well-known charity, Fani Foundation has maintained the grassroots fulfillment of its mission.

Many volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants and in numerous other capacities. As Fani Foundation continues to mature, its mission will remain steadfast.  The people of the past, present, and future will have an opportunity to share the power of our service.

The Pillar Behind Fani Foundation

Sunplus

Violet Odirachukwu Elosiuba-Okeke was born to James and Agnes Elosiuba of Umuhu Ukpor, in Nnewi South L.G. Area in Anambra State, Nigeria in the year 1929.
Being of Christian parentage, Vio was brought up in a disciplined atmosphere.  She lived a Christian life up till her death.  She was a member of Guild and Mother’s Union, and of other Christian Societies.

After receiving her Domestic Training Certificate from Abaya Umuocham Domestic Training School, she went to Iyienu School of Nursing for a Registered Nursing Certificate.  She served as a nurse at Ikeazor Maternity Home at Obosi, for several years.  In 1954, she married Late Hon. Chief Akunne O.C. Sam Okeke and they were blessed with children.

As a politician, Vio held many responsible posts.  She served as a councilor in Nnewi L.G. Area.  In Mbanano L.G. Area, she was the first women’s Supervisory Councilor for Health.  She ensures that the general hospital and the clinics in former Mbanano L.G. Area are equipped and functional.  Her devotion was on pregnant women and children.  As a trained nurse, she was quite aware of the plight these people are facing.  She continued this flight till her death and Fani Foundation Organization Inc. will continue where she left off.

She was also a versatile industrialist.  She was a member of Iyiowa Co-operative Society, under Anambra River Basin Authority.  She was a contractor and helped much in the development of the state and the nation.

Vio, you are gone but not forgotten.  She will be missed, but our memories are all good ones.  Whether she was to our mother, grandmother or aunt, friend, colleague, or teacher, we all count it as a joy, blessing, and privilege to have known her because we will not stop till her dreams are met.

— Esther Oluchukwu Okeke, President & Founder, Fani Foundation Organization Inc.

Welcome to Fani Foundation.org, the online home of the organization. Since 2007, the Fani Foundation Organization Inc.® has given hope, strength, and joy to people living with HIV/AIDs and their families. From our humble beginnings with my mother’s wish to be able to help people in need.

We are trying to achieve these goals thanks to an unmatched network of volunteers, donors, sponsors, and staff members. Everything we do is focused on enhancing the condition of pregnant women, children, people living with HIV/AIDS and to promote computer education in West Africa, and we devote ourselves to serving them first: Approximately 80 percent of each dollar we are going to raise will go directly toward granting their wishes and encouraging clean environment, which promotes healthy living.

Please explore our site and learn about our mission. We hope you’ll be moved to get involved. We have many volunteer opportunities to suit your talents, and we always welcome new donors and sponsors. Thank you for visiting our Web site!

Warmest Wishes,

Esther Oluchukwu Okeke
